T-SIB for Teens & Adults

Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) is deliberate harm to the body without intent to die. It may involve behaviors such as cutting, carving, burning, scratching, or picking at scabs.

If you hurt yourself on purpose without wanting to kill yourself, T-SIB may be a good fit for your needs. The T-SIB program involves between 9 and 12 weekly, hour-long, one-on-one meetings with your T-SIB therapist.

We accept referrals for adolescents and adults ages 16 and up.

During T-SIB meetings, you and your therapist will:

  • Learn about the factors leading to and resulting from your NSSI

  • Discuss the benefits—and consequences—of changing the behavior

  • Develop an individualized plan to help you reduce the frequency and severity of NSSI

  • Review and practice the skills that will help you carry out your plan
